Equiom's Aviation Consultant talks to MT TV
As the countdown to Europe’s premier business aviation event gathers pace, Equiom’s Aviation Consultant – John Hills talks to MT TV.
Speaking ahead of the show, John spoke about the importance of the business aviation sector and the growth of the Isle of Man Aircraft Register. “Globally there are around 21,000 business jets currently in operation for private and corporate purposes. European registers account for 2,500 of these luxury aircraft, whilst the Isle of Man has to date registered over 450 aircraft and strong indications show that this will continue to experience major growth over the next few years.”
Tax efficiencies are of course a strong consideration for anyone planning to purchase a business jet, and this is where Equiom specialises in terms of expertise for tailored VAT & tax ownership structuring. “We have supported The Isle of Man Register since it’s inception and will continue to do so, but we also have the capability to operate in other global jurisdictions and with other registers – all driven by our clients’ individual needs.”
John continues; “The Isle of Man will definitely be a talking point at EBACE as the reputation of the register is globally acknowledged due to the way in which it conducts itself as a commercial entity in addition to the tax advantages the Island offers.”
