Company Law
Company law, as governed by the provisions of the Companies Acts (1931/2004), in the Isle of Man is broadly similar, although not identical, to that of the United Kingdom. There is no requirement to list the objects of the company in its Memorandum of Association. Certain activities are nevertheless subject to additional regulatory requirements such as banks, insurance companies, investment businesses, collective investment schemes, and corporate and trust service providers.
The similarity in company law with that of the UK together with the 0% standard rate of tax makes Isle of Man companies particularly attractive.
THE 2006 COMPANY
